This dear, sweet 8-year-old cat is in need of a nice, quiet home. For the right owner, she will cuddle on your lap for hours and even play fetch with a jingle ball. She'll watch TV, sit on a chair at the table and watch as you eat, and play non-stop with any toy that has a feather.
Although she currently lives with another cat and a small child, she has grown more skittish in her old age and tends to show signs of anxiety (i.e. hiding for prolonged periods of time and occasional throwing up) if she might be chased.
She does have tummy troubles and requires medicated cat food to avoid urinary tract infections, but this has only happened in the last six months and may be a sign of her prolonged stress.
Unfortunately, she is not adjusting well to our recent move and is no longer getting along with our other cat. The stress is taking a toll on her and my once social bundle of energy now hides all day long.
This is my last plea for a family for her before we make more drastic steps toward relieving her of this stress. Please e-mail me at maryann.akimoto.young@hotmail.com if you think your family is a good fit for this precious part of our family.
Here are a few pictures I've taken of Lucy over the years:
She certainly likes her favorite spot on the couch.
Watching the X Factor
Her not-so-lady-like pose
Hanging out wherever you are
Playing, playing, playing (She is declawed now.)
Hanging out with our other, bigger cat.
Finding a good hiding place behind the presents. That toy will never find her back here...
...unless she blows her cover.
